Aim Poses for Third Person Shooting?

I think I might’ve asked before, but I’d like to know if it’s at least possible to implement an approximated version of Aim Poses. Basically, in a Third Person Shooter, when aiming, the character’s upper body follows the camera. I’ve heard that IK isn’t possible in this engine (which is kind of dumb), but is there at least a way to approximate this without it being easily broken?
